Readymade curtains provide a room with that "finished look" as well as keeping out bright sunlight, preventing furniture from fading. Readymade curtains also help keep the warmth in your home during the winter. Our range of ready-made curtains are available in a variety of widths, weights and styles ensuring the right look to co-ordinate with any style of home.
Ready made curtains can be a great way to inject colour into a room, or to make a real feature of a window - readymade curtains can be dressed up or down as much as you want. Brighter/richer colours and heavier readymade curtains will draw the eye to a window, while lighter colours and fabrics will make a small window appear larger.
There are many different types of ready made curtains available from Gerrys at Home these include Eyelet Curtains, Tape Top Curtains, Tab Top Curtains and Lined Voile Curtains.
Eyelet Curtains
Eyelet readymade curtains increased in popularity in the UK in the early 2000's. Traditional popular in Europe Eyelet readymade curtains are hung by threading the curtain pole through the eyelet heading. For the best results your eyelet readymade curtains should have a double gather. Eyelet readymade curtains are popular in modern homes and apartments and give a clean contemporary look to your windows.
Tab Top Curtains
Tab Top Ready made curtains are a contemporary style and are also hung by threading the curtain pole through the tab top heading.
Tab Top readymade curtains are popular in modern homes and apartments. Tab top readymade curtains should have a 1 ½ to double gather for the best results on your window.
It is important when hanging tap top ready made curtains that your pole is at least 3 inches above your window to allow for the length of the tab.
Lined Voile Curtains
Lined voile readymade curtains are rapidly becoming one of the favourite styles of curtains in the UK today.
Lined voile ready made curtains consist of a sheer panel of fabric which is lined to offer privacy. This results in a light weight readymade curtain which allows natural light into your room.
For this reason lined voile ready made curtains are extremely popular in conservatories, lounges and in rooms that have low natural daylight.

Tape Top (Pencil Pleat) Readymade Curtains.
Pencil pleat headed readymade curtains can be hung on a curtain track or pole. The three hook positions allow some adjustment to the final depth of your readymade curtain. They can be fitted with a decorative valance if required.
'Tape' is the name for the band of fabric with string threaded through which is attached to the inside top edge of each readymade curtain Hooks are looped through the tape to attach the readymade curtains to the track or pole The tape on all our readymade curtains is 3" The tape will have 3 rows of strings running through it. Please note that if you place your hooks on the tape at the highest position your track or pole will show over the top of the readymade curtains. If you choose the lowest position it will be hidden.
